  • Milford's Second Street Players will present a revised staging of The Diary of Anne Frank that restores removed content to highlight the original story. The performance will open Friday, Jan. 30 at 7:00 p.m. at their local theatre — offering a renewed take on a classic drama.  Delaware Public Media
  • Delaware poets will share reflections on 250 years of American history at the Biggs Museum next Thursday, Jan. 29 at 5:30 p.m. Organizers plan to feature diverse voices that capture the nation's evolving story.  Delaware Public Media

EDUCATION NEWS

  • GDR Summer is a statewide coalition that helped nearly 2,500 K–8 students close the summer reading gap last year with tutoring and enrichment at 50 sites; it will expand today to boost literacy and workforce readiness in our local communities.  Delaware Online

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Delaware residents are advised to prepare for a significant winter storm as the National Weather Service forecasts heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain beginning Saturday, Jan. 24 in Dover and surrounding areas (forecast snowfall may reach up to 18 inches and a cold weather advisory is in effect).  Delaware Online
