- ➤ After several days of forecasts, snow fell across Delaware overnight with measurements ranging from 1.1 inches to 4 inches, including 3 inches in Dover at 7:30 a.m. A municipal truck plowed snow in Middletown to clear streets. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ On Jan. 25, a heavy snowfall blanketed Delaware streets, with Woodside receiving up to 4 inches and Wilmington Airport and Newark at 2.9 inches while officials declared a state of emergency. - ➤ In Dover, residents must clear public sidewalks within 24 hours of snowfall ending as law requires; driveways generally are exempt unless they border a public space (the previous 12-hour rule changed last year). Throwing snow onto gutters is prohibited. Delaware Online
- ➤ Residents losing power after recent snow and ice can quickly report outages to Delmarva Power (via online, phone, or text) or Delaware Electric Cooperative by calling the provided numbers; reports should be made as soon as power is lost to help restore service promptly. Delaware Online
