- ➤ Delaware resident DJ Jazzy Jeff was named FIFA World Cup 2026’s official music ambassador and his social ID will play at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field from June 14 to July 4 — a key part of Delaware’s partnership with Philly Soccer 2026 to boost summer tourism. Delaware Online

- ➤ Gov. Matt Meyer awarded Delaware’s highest civilian honor — the Order of the First State — to Brooks Banta, Ellen Bartholomaus, Dr. Anand Panwalker, Mike Vincent, and Robert Vanderhost on Tuesday, Feb. 17, recognizing their decades of service that strengthened local public services, arts, and athletics. - ➤ Gov. Matt Meyer announced that Delaware has begun its request for proposals under the Rural Health Transformation Program (a $50 billion national effort) to boost access and lower costs in rural Kent and Sussex counties. - ➤ The federal government updated the childhood vaccine schedule in January following a presidential directive, so six vaccines are now recommended for specific risk groups rather than all children.
