- ➤ First State Heritage Park will present the Enslaved Persons Project on Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the John Bell House on The Green, featuring profiles, silhouettes and testimonies from local research on enslaved individuals. - ➤ Delmarva Power said average residential bills will rise nearly $11 starting June 1 as energy supply costs increase 6.95% after a recent auction -- approved by the Delaware Public Service Commission. The company will maintain its Customer Relief Fund for eligible customers. WDEL

- ➤ General Federation of Women’s Clubs Delaware is accepting online scholarship applications from students until March 20 (offering a $2,000 award for graduating seniors and a $1,000 award for returning students) as applications are downloadable on its website. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ Delaware State University’s College of Business held its 4th annual Black Male Initiative Conference on Feb. 19, drawing over 500 high school males (from Delaware, Maryland, D.C., and Pennsylvania) to breakout sessions on digital identity, mental health and financial freedom; ten applied (and were accepted) for fall enrollment. - ➤ A nor'easter may bring mixed precipitation to Delaware this weekend, starting early Sunday and lasting through Monday. Residents might see varying snow totals across counties and should prepare for winter weather (by checking supplies and equipment). Delaware Online
- ➤ DNREC will stock Tidbury Pond near Dover and Newton Pond near Greenwood with rainbow trout for upcoming fishing; youth anglers under 16 can start on March 7 at 7 a.m. and regular anglers will be allowed a half-hour before sunrise on March 8 — check area rules for times. Bay to Bay News

- ➤ On Thursday evening, community members in Milford shared input on the Airport Road Corridor Study that examines safety and traffic flow improvements between Canterbury Road and Route 113.
