- ➤ Dover's St. Patrick's Day Parade will kick off on March 14 at 1 p.m. from Federal Street and finish at the Duncan Center. Food trucks will line City Hall and Bradford from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as grand marshals Codi Canasa + Tabby Proud lead the parade. Delaware Online
- ➤ Do More 24 Delaware is a 24-hour giving event that celebrates local nonprofit work led by women and will open on Mar. 5 at 6 p.m. (Since 2016 the drive has raised over $12 million and unites donors from across the state.) Bay to Bay News

- ➤ Ford, BMW, Subaru, and Kia have issued recalls on thousands of vehicles for safety issues such as braking, battery cells, fuel containment, and seat restraints; owner letters will be sent between March 6 and April 24, and Dover residents can visit local dealers (like Winner Ford) for free repairs. - ➤ Delawareans can watch a total lunar eclipse today with the penumbral phase at 3:44 a.m., partial phase at 4:50 a.m., and totality from 6:04 to 7:03 a.m. The event is visible without equipment (binoculars or a telescope can enhance the view) and offers a natural sky show for early risers. - ➤ Delaware’s Consumer Protection Unit reported the top 10 scams from 2025 showing that imposter scams led with about 2,500 reports while online shopping and negative review scams followed with nearly 1,500 reports — the unit also provided tips to help consumers avoid scams. Coast TV
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Padua freshman Sophia Witkowski — a former gymnast who began diving two years ago — won the girls diving state title at the championship meet held nearby. Delaware Online
- ➤ Boys' DIAA basketball tournament games begin today at 6 p.m. while Monday featured eight girls' first-round games statewide, with Hodgson (30-28) edging Delcastle. Championship games for all tournaments will be held Saturday, March 14 at Carpenter Center. Delaware Online
- ➤ Residents can cast their votes for Delaware Online’s Athlete of the Week in high school sports — voting is free today and the winner will be announced on Friday, March 6 at Delaware Online, presented by Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists. Delaware Online
- ➤ The Caesar Rodney High girls broke free in the final six minutes, securing their first DIAA tourney win in five years after Sussex Tech rallied from a nine point deficit at Camden. The team celebrated a hard fought victory that marks a promising turnaround. Bay to Bay News
