- ➤ The YMCA opened its new Discovery Center for kids on April 9 after a year-long project in Dover. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ The Dover YMCA opened a new Discovery Center to offer more learning and play options for children. The facility held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday morning with local leaders and partners and will boost youth programs going forward. WBOC
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Rep. Harris and Sen. Townsend introduced HB 400 today to raise corporate filing fees (estimated to generate $152 million annually) to help address the state budget deficit. The bill, which will update long-outdated fees, is now under committee review and may change how businesses incorporate. Delaware LIVE
- ➤ DNREC promoted Sean Cain and Jackie Kook as superintendents at Cape Henlopen and Alapocas Run/Wilmington state parks. Cain, who worked at Cape Henlopen before, and Kook, with 16 years in teaching, now will oversee park staff, maintenance, and visitor services (strengthening operations). Coast TV
