- ➤ Delaware State University backed a federal lawsuit on April 10th when President Tony Allen signed an amicus brief that opposes revoking international student visas. The brief argues that the current policy unfairly targets non-citizen students and faculty (it defends their right to due process). Delaware Online
- ➤ Delaware State University will hold its 133rd commencement on May 9 in Alumni Stadium and at DeLauder Theatre, starting at 8 a.m. for undergraduates and 1 p.m. for graduates. The event will feature special guests including tech leader Jotaka Eaddy + National Guard leader Maj. Gen. James Benson and will mark the first associate degree awarded to Early College School graduates + a program serving 600 students. Delaware Online

- ➤ State Auditor Lydia York released a report on April 10th that found most of the $4.2 million in federal funds for fiscal year 2024 were spent properly but identified areas needing improvement. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ On Wednesday, the Delaware Senate’s Executive Committee passed HB 140, which would let terminally ill Delawareans choose medical aid in dying if two doctors confirm a six-month prognosis. The bill has 18 sponsors—led by Sen. Bryan Townsend—and now moves to the Senate floor before governor Matt Meyer is expected to sign it into law. Bay to Bay News
