  • DSN Outdoors Expo returns to Delaware State Fairgrounds with outdoor lifestyle exhibits, live wrestling + classic car show. The two-day event runs today from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Apr. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., welcoming pets on leashes.  Coast TV

  • Dover Pools celebrated its Golden Anniversary (50 years) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Central Delaware Chamber on Tuesday, April 14. The event marked a milestone for local business.  Bay to Bay News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Drivers in Dover saw relief as Delaware's average gas price dropped 10 cents (to $3.95) today, with the national price falling 7 cents from last week. AAA noted crude oil prices eased amid a brief ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran and ongoing regional uncertainty.  WGMD

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Delaware State University students traveled to Belize in March on a study abroad program that had them gather environmental data — including water quality tests and plant studies at Blue Creek Rainforest Reserve and South Water Caye — and they presented their findings at Research Day on Wednesday, Apr. 15.  Delaware State University

HEALTH NEWS

  • On Tuesday, the Delaware House passed House Bill 325, which lets experienced physician associates with over 6,000 clinical hours work without a mandatory collaborative agreement to improve care in underserved areas (supporting Delaware’s Rural Health Transformation Program).   • More than 250 new physicians matched during the 2026 Match Day season will start residency or fellowship in Delaware hospitals this July—strengthening local healthcare services.  WGMD

  • The DSN Outdoors Expo returns to the Delaware State Fairgrounds today from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Apr. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering free entry with outdoor exhibits on boats, RVs, hunting gear and live wrestling — dogs must be leashed.  WDEL

  • A video from Postlethwait Middle School in Camden showed coach Avon Jones mistreating a wrestler, prompting his five-year suspension on April 16.
