- ➤ Felton Police arrested 29-year-old Ryan E. Ingram at Peachtree Apartments on Abec Lane Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. after a domestic dispute turned physical; he was arraigned via video, released on his own recognizance, and faces charges of Offensive Touching and Criminal Mischief. WGMD

- ➤ On April 15, a forum featured four candidates running for two seats on the Capital School District board who discussed goals for transparency and community engagement—candidates will compete in the May 13 election. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ Delaware Secretary of Education Cindy Marten has named two experienced leaders to guide the state through a major school funding reform — Denise Carter as Deputy Secretary for Strategic Initiatives and Adam Schott as Associate Secretary for Student Support. - ➤ Today, air quality alerts were issued in Southern New Jersey as wildfire smoke lowered Delaware’s air grades; New Castle County received a C for ozone, Kent County fell from a B to a C and Sussex County improved from an A to a B while all counties earned D’s for fine particle pollution. The American Lung Association blamed smoke from Canadian wildfires — and warned that rising pollution may cause health risks, urging policymakers to work on cleaner air. WDEL

- ➤ The Delaware Department of Agriculture is reviewing its regulations and inviting the public to submit comments until May 30 while planning hearings at Georgetown Public Library on May 20 (1:30 to 2:30 p.m.), in Dover on May 22 (10:00 to 11:00 a.m.), and at Appoquinimink Community Library on May 23 (10:00 to 11:00 a.m.). - ➤ Delaware State Police condemned an altered image of an Honor Guard trooper posted on social media as 'unacceptable and disrespectful' and said the post defames the service and sacrifice of its members—officials also invited the site’s managers to visit the state police museum to learn more about their history.
