- ➤ A lawsuit filed on April 23 claims that Christina school board member Naveed Baqir, who has lived in Pakistan for over a year and cast votes virtually since January 2024, is not a valid resident—this legal action comes as a Dover bill is set to tighten residency rules for school board members. - ➤ The Delaware Police Officer Standards and Training Commission and the Delaware Police Accreditation Committee partnered with Penn Medicine Princeton House Behavioral Health Program to offer a training titled 'My Brother's Keeper' on April 17 at the Department of Safety and Homeland Security building in Dover. The four-hour session—attended by about 50 officers—focused on recognizing mental health issues and making peer referrals to support a culture of wellness among law enforcement colleagues. Coast TV
- ➤ Delaware Governor Matt Meyer launched ‘Race to $14M’ — an effort to quickly distribute federal funds to small businesses before December — with Division of Small Business Director CJ Bell during a recent event.
