CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Dover Police investigated a shooting on May 4th at about 1:11 a.m. near McGlynn's at 800 North State Street in Dover, where two men were hit and a 22‑year‑old man died at the hospital—police are urging anyone with information to come forward. WBOC
- ➤ Delaware State Police with Millsboro Police arrested 28-year-old Fernando Medina-Moreta in Millsboro on Friday, May 2 after a tip led them to his dark gray Honda Accord and a search found a loaded stolen 9mm Glock handgun (reported stolen from Pennsylvania), and he was charged with multiple felonies while he now awaits extradition to Maryland and remains at Sussex Correctional Institution on $13,500 bail. - ➤ Delaware State Police said that shots fired at a house in Dover's Rodney Village community occurred shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday on Samuel Paynter Drive—no one was hurt and officers are still searching for the shooter. WDEL

- ➤ Delaware locals are asked to share their coastal stories for DNREC’s Voices of the Tide by May 15 so that their experiences help shape the Ocean and Bay Plan.
