- ➤ A surge in gun violence has shaken Dover with 13 shooting incidents reported in the past three weeks — including one fatal shooting outside McGlynns Pub — and police said rising juvenile gang involvement is driving the trend while urging locals to share tips to help stop further crimes. WBOC
- ➤ Dover Police investigated a shooting that injured a 23-year-old resident early Wednesday morning on Stevenson Drive at 3:20 a.m.—the suspect shot him before fleeing and emergency medical personnel transported him to Bayhealth Kent Campus, where his condition remains unknown. First State Update

- ➤ Delaware State University will hold its 133rd commencement today, awarding over 1000 degrees as the undergraduate ceremony starts at 8:00 a.m. at Alumni Stadium with CEO Jotaka Eaddy speaking. - ➤ State Senator Eric Buckson introduced SCR 65 on May 6th—calling on Dover, the state and Kent County to work with Wilmington to relocate the Caesar Rodney equestrian statue from storage—to have it displayed by July 4th.
