ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 58-year-old Dover man riding a Kawasaki motorcycle lost control near White Oak Road and Garrison Oak Drive on Sunday at 4:14 a.m.—Dover Police found him ejected and declared him dead at the scene as the investigation continues. First State Update
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ On May 16, doors will open at 8:30 p.m. at the Bottle and Cork, 1807 Coastal Highway, for an all-female tribute to Lilith Fair called Lilith Fest. The event will last for more than two hours at Dewey Beach — a planned celebration of this iconic music festival. Bay to Bay News

- ➤ Delaware State University is hosting its annual Faculty Research Day today at Longwood Auditorium (Bank of America Building) from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as professors, researchers and students gather for talks, poster sessions and networking while a light lunch will be served and faculty proposals recognized. - ➤ Senate Bill 52, proposed by Senator Buckson, would let retired teachers fill substitute roles by easing rules—reducing the wait period from six to three months and lowering the age limit from 65 to 59½. It passed the Senate and now awaits committee review in the House. Bay to Bay News
