- ➤ The Department of Justice shut down a property near Hartly known as The Animal House after an investigation generated 160 complaints over eight years about illegal bonfires, toxic fumes, harboring fugitives, drive-by shootings and drug sales; owner Shawn Haley and tenants had to vacate by May 12 while the property remains closed awaiting a permanent abatement hearing. - ➤ The Delaware Council on Banking has opened applications for the new Delaware Community Investment Venture Fund which will help banks, credit unions, and CDFIs offer innovative financial products to underserved communities.
