- ➤ State unemployment increased from 3.7% in March to 3.9% in April while Sussex County dropped from 4.1% to 3.9%. The Delaware Department of Labor said job growth in education and health services added 3300 positions year-over-year — driving most of the overall change and boosting jobs in wholesale and retail trade. - ➤ During spring break, 40 Cape Henlopen High School students traveled to Greece and toured famous sites in Athens such as the Parthenon and Temple of Poseidon—experiencing ancient monuments and local traditions like plate-smashing and traditional clothing. Coast TV

- ➤ Diane Kraus explained her cancer diagnosis and supported a Medical Aid in Dying bill in Delaware — she said her personal experience shows why lawmakers should review end-of-life care policies. Delaware Online
- ➤ Kent County Levy Court postponed a vote on a resolution urging state lawmakers to consider local zoning needs when adjusting marijuana rules and will likely vote on the revised draft on May 20—Levy Court President Joanne Masten said the county prefers to maintain existing zoning and does not support taxing recreational marijuana. Local officials stress that they already have clear zoning and see no need for new taxes. Delaware Public Media
- ➤ A Delaware House bill would require THC-infused drinks to be sold only in package stores and be tested for safety while also limiting hemp vapes and edibles to future marijuana retailers. Rep.
