- ➤ The state Senate gave final legislative approval on May 22 to a bill that removes the enrollment cap at Sussex Technical High School—set to open in September 2027 at a cost of $248 million. The bill now heads to the governor's desk for his approval. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ Delaware officials urged residents to prepare for a more active 2025 hurricane season as warnings come amid record-breaking global temperatures. Governor Matt Meyer declared Hurricane Preparedness Week from May 26—30 in coordination with DEMA and local agencies. Delaware LIVE
- ➤ Rep. Bryan Shupe’s bill to set uniform recount rules cleared committee review on May 21 and is now on the House Ready List, and if passed it will mandate an automatic recount for races decided by 1 percent or less—affecting statewide, county and school board elections. Coast TV
