- ➤ Delaware will host 18 summer festivals from early June to mid-August that offer food + rides, music and cultural fun; downtown Dover will welcome the Delaware Caribbean Carnival on Aug. 15 and the Baila Con Dover Latin Festival on Aug. 29, drawing locals and visitors alike. Delaware Online
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Delaware’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control announced a new plan to help protect least terns – a state-endangered species with high conservation need. The agency will focus on preserving the birds’ habitats and builds on ongoing conservation efforts. Bay to Bay News

- ➤ DSHA (Delaware State Housing Authority) and UD Sea Grant will host free disaster recovery planning workshops for municipalities statewide. The sessions will guide mapping to pinpoint flood risks and interim housing sites, with one workshop scheduled per county by year-end. Coast TV
