- ➤ A 22-year-old Dover man died in a fiery car crash late Monday night on the 600-block of North DuPont Highway after a southbound driver left the road and hit a utility pole with a transformer—firefighters put out the fire and located the victim. WDEL
- ➤ Dover Police are investigating a fatal crash on North DuPont Highway where a southbound Toyota Camry left the road and struck a utility pole just before 11 p.m. Monday, causing a fire that killed a 22-year-old man—officials are asking for witnesses to come forward—and are reviewing the scene for more information. - ➤ The Delaware Environmental Appeals Board will hold a public hearing in Dover as it reviews Edward E. Bintz’s appeal against the state’s conditional approval of permits for the US Wind Offshore Maryland Project. Attendees may join in person — or virtually as the board examines if the review complied with environmental laws amid concerns following Ocean City’s rejection of a $20 million investment. Coast TV
- ➤ Governor Matt Meyer proclaimed Hurricane Preparedness Week as state officials urged residents to visit preparede.org for details on evacuation routes and insurance review before the Atlantic hurricane season begins on June 1st. - ➤ Secretary of Agriculture Don Clifton urged the Kent County Levy Court last week to change zoning laws so that distribution facilities can be built on land set aside for farming to help local growers earn more.
