- ➤ Delaware has launched a student video contest inviting children ages 8 to 13 to create 1-3 minute videos honoring inductees of the Delaware Women’s Hall of Fame. The contest, hosted by the Department of Human Resources' Office of Women’s Advancement and Advocacy and the Hall of Fame Committee, will award winners with a $100 gift card, tickets to the induction ceremony on Oct. 8, and special recognition with entries due by Aug. 31. - ➤ On June 2nd, the Public Education Funding Commission voted to work on a hybrid school funding plan that mixes the current per student system with weighted block grants—this plan aims to add extra funds for students with low incomes, English learners, and those with disabilities while keeping local agency funding steady.
