- ➤ Nearly 800 law enforcement officers will run across the state from June 11 to 13 to support Special Olympics Delaware—this three-day event features public ceremonies, including one in Dover on June 12 at Legislative Mall, to help raise funds for year-round athlete training and competition. - ➤ St. Anthony of Padua Parish's Italian Festival began on Sunday, June 8 with music, food and carnival rides at the tent entrance on 9th and Scott Streets. - ➤ A growing sandbar near the Fenwick Island Ditch is causing problems for boaters on coastal Delaware waters as missing channel markers make the path unsafe.
