- ➤ Life Lines South opened Monday in Harrington on Shawnee Road as a new transitional housing program for young adults 18 to 23 that offers shelter and support services like education, job training, and mental health care. The renovated home can house up to 10 residents and is expected to serve about 15 youth each year (the first facility in Kent and Sussex counties to help those aging out of foster care or facing homelessness). - ➤ Polytech High School held its graduation ceremony on June 5, awarding degrees to 374 students in its class of 2025. The school principal—acting as the ceremony's host—conferred the degrees during the event. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ Delaware State University’s Cooperative Extension held a hands-on workshop at the DSU Downtown Community Garden—teaching residents small-space gardening techniques such as lasagna and container gardening while collaborating with Kent County Master Gardener Volunteers.
