State police responded on June 16 at 9:18 a.m. to Four Seasons Pizza (2467 South State Street) after reports of a forced entry burglary and later arrested 25-year-old John Carey (from Camden-Wyoming) on June 19 for using a knife to open cash registers and steal money, and he now faces charges including burglary, possession of burglar tools, theft, and criminal mischief with a $7,100 secured bond.

The Delaware Police Officer Standards and Training Commission announced that 14 individuals completed the POST Approved Instructor Course (June 9 to 13) at the University of Delaware Police Department, representing several state agencies.

The new instructors will be presented for final approval in August.
