- ➤ On Thursday evening near Forrest Avenue — Birchfield Drive west of Dover, a 76-year-old woman driving a Honda failed to remain stopped and collided with a Hyundai driven by a 17-year-old from Marydel, with the woman pronounced dead and the teen treated for non-life threatening injuries. WGMD

- ➤ LaToya Russell (an automation consultant) said Delaware small businesses use artificial intelligence to work better and save money. She met with Sen. Lisa Blunt Rochester at a Meta conference in Washington (which explained new AI tools) and urged lawmakers to protect these tools. Bay to Bay News

- ➤ A July 3 report from the state auditor’s office showed that 62 special education teachers in Delaware public schools worked without valid licenses due to lapses as of March 5. Bay to Bay News

- ➤ A special election is scheduled for Aug. 5th to fill the vacant State House 20th District seat while Dover voters re-elected four incumbents to City Council in April.
