- ➤ Delaware drivers can get a free E-ZPass transponder when they open a new individual account from Aug. 1 to Aug. 31, with toll rates set to rise on I-95, US 301 and SR 1 on Aug. 1 + DMV fees including a new annual registration fee for alternative fuel vehicles will increase on Oct. 1. - ➤ Delaware’s lone Congressional Rep. Sarah McBride passed her first U.S. House bill on July 27th—expanding the accredited investor definition so more Delawareans can invest in private capital markets. The bipartisan Equal Opportunity for All Investors Act passed unanimously and will now seek Senate backing after the month-long legislative break. Delaware Public Media
- ➤ In Delaware, drivers must have auto insurance to register their vehicles and avoid fines—this law requires coverage for bodily injury, personal injury and property damage. Drivers who cannot show proof of insurance risk fines and a six‐month suspension of their license. Delaware Online

- ➤ A local teen battling leukemia is set to take a Disney cruise with her family in August after her wish was granted by Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia, Delaware and Susquehanna Valley — a send-off attended by Governor Matt Meyer — as she celebrates her journey toward becoming cancer-free. - ➤ Realtor.com data shows Kent County’s median home listing price dropped slightly to $407,703 in June, down from $408,500 in May and 3.6% lower than June’s $422,900 last year—with average homes measuring 1,976 square feet at $205 per square foot. New listings increased to 282, a 23.7% rise from last June, and homes spent a median 37 days on the market compared to 53 days nationally. Delaware Online
