- ➤ On Monday, 24 participants graduated from the BioConnect DE Biomanufacturing Training Program at EastSide Charter School’s Chemours STEM Hub after finishing an eight-week, tuition-free course designed to prepare them for work in the life sciences. The program—led by state life sciences groups and supported by a federal grant and industry partners—will now help place the graduates in entry-level jobs across Delaware. Delaware LIVE
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Matt Meyer announced today that the state will partner with Undue Medical Debt using $500,000 in funds to eliminate up to $50 million in medical debt for over 17,000 Delaware residents. He also signed legislation to stop medical debt from appearing on credit reports—a measure that will take effect 90 days after signing and aims to boost economic stability. WGMD
- ➤ People with disabilities have enjoyed greater park access since the Trackchair program began at White Clay Creek in 2024 and now offers motorized trail chairs (with headlights, a horn, and an adaptive seat) at Cape Henlopen, Lums Pond, Killens Pond and Trap Pond State Parks; the chairs are available for free in three-hour increments with either self or companion controls. This expansion is part of a larger state effort to increase accessibility at Delaware state parks. Coast TV
