Delaware's Office of the Marijuana Commissioner reported that recreational marijuana sales started strong when the first weekend from August 1—3 brought in over $903,000 in combined sales and about $93,700 in tax revenue.

Dover Police issued a Gold Alert for 42-year-old Courtney Dean of Hartly, who was last seen at 4:00 a.m. on McKee Road operating a 2016 Gray Chevrolet Traverse (5'10" and 145 lbs) and remains missing as efforts to contact her continue (her clothing details were not confirmed).

Delaware began recreational marijuana sales on August 1, with the first weekend’s combined sales exceeding $903,000 — a sign of strong consumer demand.

Governor Matt Meyer said the revenue will be reinvested in neighborhoods — supporting public health and local growth.

Nomad—a federally threatened piping plover—was rescued on June 30 after showing signs of muscle trauma and received care in Newark from DNREC, Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service experts.

He was later released at The Point at Cape Henlopen State Park where he has been seen foraging normally.

Governor Matt Meyer detailed plans to invest in family farms and food programs to protect our environment and improve food security in Delaware — his strategy supports small farms and creates job opportunities while addressing challenges like rising temperatures and market pressures.
