Dover police investigated a burglary at Taqueria El Cabrito on Forest St. Thursday night—officers began the investigation at 5:40 a.m. Friday after finding a shattered glass door and missing property, with a Hispanic male suspect reportedly using an unknown object—no leads have been established.

Delaware State University announced that it was granted almost $800,000 through the National Science Foundation Track 1 Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship to expand its STEM education programs and build a pipeline for K-12 math and science teachers—helping local schools address critical teacher shortages. University officials said the funding will also strengthen partnerships with district schools such as Early College School at DSU and Capital School District.

DNREC will host its annual Coastal Cleanup Saturday, Sept.
