  • Gov. Matt Meyer signed a new law on September 17th to protect public and school libraries from rising book bans — the law aims to secure free speech as concerns grow nationwide.  Bay to Bay News
  • The Delaware Department of Insurance fined UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company $450,000 after a 24-month review found repeated violations in mental health care, prescription access, and claims handling—funds that are directed to the state’s General Fund.   • Neighbors in Kent County donated blood at a drive hosted Wednesday by Kent County Levy Court — the Blood Bank of Delmarva set up the event after a July shortage dropped supplies below the seven-day reserve needed.   • Stephen A. Smith said he will film 'First Take' at Delaware State University on October 29 without Molly Qerim after she abruptly resigned from ESPN amid contract talks.
