- ➤ Delaware State University was ranked the No.4 public HBCU in the nation by U.S. News and World Report and made the top 10 overall for the ninth year, with only Florida A&M, North Carolina A&T and Morgan State ranking higher. DSU celebrated its 134th anniversary and recently set a record with over 1,600 new and transfer students—highlighting its strong academic programs. WDEL
- ➤ U.S. News & World Report published its rankings on Sept. 23. University of Delaware was ranked No. 88 among national universities — it is one of 207 Best Value schools and Delaware State placed No. 4 among public HBCUs amid criticism of the ranking process. Delaware Online
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Matt Meyer spoke in New York on Wednesday at Climate Week—hosted by the U.S. Climate Alliance—to stress that taking climate change seriously is urgent for Delaware’s low-lying communities. He said the state should offer incentives for low- and zero-emission vehicles while investing in safer roadways. WDEL
