- ➤ Delmarva Power and Chesapeake Utilities have filed proposals for rate hikes that, if approved, will raise customer bills by over $11 and about $16.50 monthly. The filings include a 43% gas cost rate increase for Delmarva and a 30% gas sales rate increase—Delaware Public Advocate Tweedie said his office will review the filings and work to hold down future costs. - ➤ The Delaware Department of Education opened applications for a $7.2 million grant program called Bridge to Practice aimed at boosting early literacy following Gov. - ➤ Governor Matt Meyer signed a new law at Dover High's homecoming football game Friday night that requires all coaches in state schools to be trained in CPR, first aid, and AED use.
