- ➤ Former Delaware Representative John Kowalko died at age 80. He served Newark from 2006 to 2022, was a Marine for 24 years and a machinist for over 30 years, and left behind his wife Constance Merlet, two children and grandchildren with no immediate word on funeral services. WDEL

- ➤ Delaware State stunned North Carolina Central in its MEAC football opener in Durham + the Hornets boosted their title hopes with a surprise win. The team plans to build on this success in upcoming games + they aim to improve their chances as the season continues. Bay to Bay News
