- ➤ Nearly 60,000 households received food aid this morning as Delaware distributed its first round of First State Food Relief Funds—deposited directly to EBT cards—to ensure food access amid the federal shutdown. The funds, equal to 25% of a household's usual SNAP benefits, may be issued weekly through November if federal funds are released. Coast TV
- ➤ The FAA said it has cut flights by 4% from major airports because air traffic controllers are under strain during the government shutdown—this cut is expected to rise to 10% by November 14. - ➤ Nearly 60,000 Delaware households received food relief funds last Friday when emergency state funding was added to their EBT cards to help with food access ahead of Thanksgiving. - ➤ A backyard poultry flock in Kent County returned a presumptive positive for avian influenza—officials quarantined the premises and began depopulating the remaining birds to contain the spread.
