- ➤ A state audit found that some Delaware school districts did not keep accurate records of student enrollments and staff counts, which affected how state funds are allocated—official responses now include plans for standardized attendance reports and annual reviews of system access. - ➤ DelDOT has launched its 5th Annual Name That Plow Contest for elementary school students with entries due by 11:59 p.m. on December 5th—winners from each county will get a snowplow visit at their school. WGMD

- ➤ Delaware State will host Howard at 1 p.m. today at Alumni Stadium as the Hornets, now 7-3 overall and 3-0 in MEAC play, aim to win their first conference title since 2007 and earn a berth in the Celebration Bowl. - ➤ Coaches from Delaware districts have voted to form eight All-District high school football teams that honor top players and coaches in offense, defense, and special teams—recognizing the season’s best performance. Delaware Online
- ➤ Smyrna High’s football team beat Caesar Rodney in their 19th state tournament game—advancing to the Class 3A state semifinals and adding to their four DIAA titles since 2015. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ Small craft advisories were in effect on Thursday — but today the waters show light winds and 2-foot seas at Indian River Inlet where Old Inlet Bait and Tackle noted fish are biting. The Delaware Bass Club Series Championship on Killens Pond saw the father-son team Chassin’ Biggins’ of Thomas and John Miller win a four-fish weigh-in and earn a Lunker Prize that included a $500 gift card from Captain Bones. - ➤ Top-seeded Indian River High beat No. 8 Odessa 42-7 on Friday night in the DIAA Class 2A quarterfinals and moved on to the semifinals. The Indians finished the game 11-0 and will face a new opponent next weekend. Bay to Bay News
