- ➤ Jonathan's Landing Golf Course and its clubhouse with a pub and banquet venue, located near Magnolia south of Dover, will permanently close on Dec. 31—ending all operations at the site. Delaware Online

- ➤ Joey Nowotny, a former Laurel High School FFA member, was elected Eastern Region Vice President for 2025–26 at the 98th National FFA Convention—one of only six national officers chosen, as Sussex County representatives also earned top awards. Coast TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Matt Meyer announced Delaware's Rural Health Transformation Plan, which will create the state's first medical school in partnership with Thomas Jefferson University's Sidney Kimmel Medical College. The plan aims to improve rural healthcare access and build a student-to-residency pipeline—with federal awards expected by the end of 2025 and the first cohort planned for fall 2027. Delaware Online
- ➤ Drivers decorating their vehicles for the holidays must follow Delaware law which requires front lights to be amber and rear lights to be red. Law enforcement will check that any vehicle lighting does not flash or block views—festive additions like Santa hats must be securely attached. WDEL
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ State labor officials announced on November 21 that more than 200 additional providers are now available to handle workers’ compensation injury cases in Delaware following Senate Bill 164 passed earlier this year—expanding options for injured workers. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ The Blood Bank of Delmarva said the region has only a four-day blood supply—critical types are even lower—and urges local donors to help as donations drop over the Thanksgiving period. The bank will offer a free Life Saver shirt to every donor from November 23 to 30 to boost supplies for hospitals and EMS. WBOC

- ➤ Dover high school football teams have worked hard all season to reach the DIAA state semifinals. Only six of the 12 squads will earn a spot in the state title game this weekend — each team now awaits its final matchup for the championship berth. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ Tower Hill junior Sydney Fischer recorded 15 kills in a state championship game where her girls volleyball team won 3—0 over Saint Mark’s and she became the final Delaware Online High School Sports Athlete of the Week after an online vote; the award was presented by Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists. - ➤ Middletown beat Appoquinimink 28—20 in the DIAA Class 3A semifinal at Cavalier Stadium, moving the team to a rematch state championship game. The championship will be played on Nov 28 at 7 p.m. at Delaware State University’s Alumni Stadium in Dover as Middletown seeks its 10th title. Delaware Online
