- ➤ Delaware’s Nuclear Energy Feasibility Task Force is reviewing small modular reactors (SMRs) to meet rising power demand and support economic growth. - ➤ Newark Representative Cyndie Romer warns that a loophole in the GENIUS Act may let crypto platforms offer rewards that mimic bank interest, which could shift deposits away from community banks and reduce local lending; she urges Congress to fix the gap. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ The Delaware Office of Unclaimed Property reminds residents they may be owed funds from dormant bank balances, checks, and refunds held by businesses. Residents can search for money by visiting the state’s online database or MissingMoney.com (a free tool) as new records are added each day. Delaware Online
- ➤ On Monday, Dec. 22, Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings announced a nearly $150-million settlement with Mercedes-Benz USA and Daimler AG for using illegal defeat devices in diesel vehicles; the settlement will provide Delaware with $3.6 million in funding and include consumer relief measures.
